To the Honorable the circuit court
held in and for the County of St Louis
Your petitioner represents that she
was born in the state of [illegible] Pennsylvania
and when [illegible]thirty years [illegible]
was brought into the state of [illegible] Illinois and sold
as a slave, that she continued to and in
the said state of Illinois until with in
two or three years John in the [illegible] of a slave
when she was removed from the said State
of Illinois and [illegible] [illegible] this lived and pop
[illegible] of said Philip Rocheblave [illegible] as a
slave who now labels her as a slave
he the said Philip Rocheblave [illegible] being
a resident & [illegible] of the City of St Louis
[illegible] Your petitioner prays [illegible] to be [illegible]
to [illegible] said for [illegible] under [illegible] [illegible]
June according to the [illegible] of
the [illegible] in that in need and [illegible]
