Capt Throgmorton
Dear [ ?]
Our old
Servant May has taken a notion to
go to St Louis to live after living with
me 15 years - No [ ?] obliged to [ ?]
command her as a faithful trusty
and competent - she can be trusted in
any thing. If the authorities should re-
quire security for her good conduct
you will lay me under obligations
if you would assist her - I will be
responsible to you -
[ ?] are all in usual health [ ?] escaped. [ ?] a kind [ ?] the cholera,
why cannot you let us see you on this maters again if but as a passenger
