Know all men by these presents that Virginia Eastus
as principal and John B Bogart as surety
are held and firmly bound into the state of
Missouri in the penal sum of four hundred
Dollars for the payment of which sum
well and and truly to be made the said
Virginia as principal and the said John B Bogart
as security hereby bind themselves their heirs
executors and administrators firmly by these
present sealed with their seals and
dated this first day of May AD 1843

Some of the condition of this Bond is such that
whereas the county bond of Saint Louis County
hath granted to the above bounder Virginia
a license to reside and remain in the
State of Missouri according to the Statute in
such case made and provided how if
Virgina shall be of good behavior while she
remains in said state then this bond to be void
otherwise to remain in full force
