Know all men by these presents, that
we Eli Williams principal, and Jacob R.
STEIn security are held and firmly bound
each in the sum of two hundred Dollars
to the state of Missouri- with this condition
nevertheless, that whereas the County
Court of S Louis County has this day
granted to the said Eli Williams a free
[negro ?] mulatto woman a license to reside within the state
of Missouri: now if the said Eli Williams
shall be of good behavior while he resides
within the said state, then this obligation
shall be void, otherwide to be of full
force and virtue. Sealed with our seals
and dated this 17th day of September
