Know all men by these presents that we Dinah
as principal and Clark Hooper as security
are held and firmly bound unto the state of Missouri
in the sum of two hundred dollars each, for the
true payment of which we bind ourselves our heirs
executors and administrators firmly by these presents
sealed with our seals and dated at St. Louis the
11th day of December A.D. 1844.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that
whereas the County Court for the County of St. Louis has
this day Granted to the above bounden Dinah
a free woman of color a license to reside int he state
of Missouri, now if the said Dinah shall deport
herself as a good and orderly citizen, and be of good
behavior during her residence in this state, then this
obligation to be null and void. Otherwise to remain
in full force and virtue.
