Know all men by these presents that we Matilda
Reed a free woman of color as principal and Benjamin
Saiy as security are held and firmley bound in
the sum of two hundred dollars Each to the
State of Missouri for the true payment of
which Sum we bind our selves our heirs
firmly by these presents sealed with our seals
and dated this twenty first day of Dec 1843
The condition of the above obligation
is such that whereas the county court of
St. Louis at [pre ?] the December Term thereof
in the year afroesaid has granted a
licence to the said Matilda Reed to reside
in the [county of ?] State of Missouri now if
the said Matilda Reed shall be of good
behaviour during her residence in the State
of Missouri then above obligation shall be
null and void otherwise to be & remain
in full force & effect
