Know all men by these presents that we Nancy
Evans formerly Nancy Hanah as principal and Robert Kyle
as security, are held and firmly bound unto the State
of Missouri in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars each
for the payment of which we bind ourselves our
heirs executors and administrators firmly by these
presents sealed with our seals this 3 day of October
1843 the condition of the above obligation is such
that whereas the County Court for the city of St
Louis has this day granted the above Nancy Evans
formerly Nancy Hanah a free woman of Color a
a license to reside in the State of Missouri the
said Nancy Evans formerly Nancy Hanah shall be
of good behaviour during her residence in
the State of Missouri this obligation is to be
null and void otherwise to remain in
full force and virtue
