Know all men by these presents that we [ ?] George R. Lewis as principal and
Henry Z. Bear as security are held and firmly
bound unto the state of Missouri in the pe-
nal sum of Two hundred dollars each for the
true payment of which we bind ourselves our heirs
executors and administrators firmly by those presents
sealed with our seals this 3d day of July 1843
The Condition of the above obligation to such
that whereas the County Court for the County of St
Louis at the [ ?] Term thereof 1845 has granted
a License to the said Georg R. Lewis a free man
of color to reside in the state of Missouri
Now if the said Georg R. Lewis shall be of good
behavior during his residence in the State of
Missouri then this obligation to [remain in full ?]
be null and void. Otherwise to remain in full force and virtue
