Know all men by these presents that we Thomas
Bond as principal and Andree Laflin as
security are held and firmly bound unto the
State of Missouri in the sum of Five hundred dollars
each for the true payment of which we bind ourselves
our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these
presents, sealed with our seals this 1st day of July 1843
The condition of the above obligation is such that
whereas the county Court for the County of S Louis has
this day granted to the above named Thomas Bond
a free man of color, a license to reside in the state of
Missouri now of the saidThomas Bond shall deport
himself as a good and orderly citizen and be of good
behaviour during his residence in the state of Missouri
then this obligation to be null and void otherwise
to remain in full force and virtue
