Know all men by these presents that
we Albert Burges as principal and
Richard Lockhart as security are
held & firmly bound unto the state
of Missouri in the sum of four
Hundred Dollars, that is to say
Albert Burges is bound in the sum
of Two Hundred Dollars_ and the
said Richard Lockwood is bound
is the sum of Two Hundred dollars
for the payment of which well &
truly to be made we bind our
selves, our heirs, executors, administra
tors and each and every of these firmly
by these presents, sealed with
our seals & dated this fouth
day of May AD Eighteen Hundred
& forty three
The condition of this ob-
ligation is such that whereas
the county court of st Louis County
has granted to the said Albert Burges
a license to reside in this state
of Missouri: Now if the said Albert
Burges, during his residence in
said state of Missouri, shall
be of good behaviour, then
this obligation to be void, other
wise to remain in full force
& virtue in Law
