Know all men by these presents that I
George Johnson as principal and John H.
Sparr as security are held and firmly bound
unto the State of Missouri in the sum of
Two Hundred Dollars to the payment of
which we bind well and truly to be made
we bind ourselves our heirs executors and
administrators and firmly by these presents
sealed with our seals and dated this
third day of May in the year of our
Lord Eighteen Hundred and forty three.
The condition of this obligation is such
that whereas the County Court in and
for the County of St Louis has the day and
year above written granted a license
to the said George Johnson to reside
within the State of Missouri now if the
said George Johnson shall during
his residence within said state honestly
and soberly as a good citizen deport and
conduct himself then this bond to be
void otherwise remain in full force
