Know all men by these presents that we Felis
cite Crockett as principal and Aaron
H Hackney as security are held and
firmly bound unto the State of Missouri
in the just and full sum of four hundred
dollars for the true payment of which said
sum of money we bind ourselves one and
each of our heirs executors administrators
and assigns jointly and severally firmly
by these presents sealed with our seals and
dated this the third day of May in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty three

The condition of the above obli-
gation is such that whereas the said Felis

County Court of St Louis County a lice
to remain in this State under the provisi
of an act of the General Assembly of
the State of Missouri entitled "An Act
more effectually to prevent free persons
of color from entering into this State and
for other purposes" approved the twenty
third day of February in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty three. Now if the said Felicite
Crockett shall be of good behavior du-
ring the continuance of said license
then the above obligation to be void
