Know all Men by these Presents that I Joshua
Dennis as principal and Abraham B DeWitt
as principal are held and firmly bound
unto the state of Missouri in the penal sum of
two hundred Dollars for the payment of
which well and truly to be made we
bind ourselves our heirs executors and
administrators firmly by these presents
signed with our hands and sealed with
our seals this first day of May AD 1843 Now the condition of this bond is such
that whereas, the County Commissioners Court
of the County of Saint Louis and state of
Missouri has this day granted a license
to the above bounden Joshua Dennis to
reside and remain in the State of Missouri
according to the statute in such case
made and provided Now if the said Joshua
Dennis shall during his residence be of good
behavior and of peaceable and orderly condu
ct then this bond to be void otherwise
to be and remain in full force
virtue and effect.
