State of Missouri County of St Louis
Ss Be It Remembered [illegible] on the day
of the date hereof Before the undersigned two justices of the peace
of the county aforesaid personally appeared [illegible] Powell and
[illegible] who ackknoledged themselves[?] to be indebted to the
State of Missouri, each in the charge of fifty dollars to be [illegible] of
their own goods and chattels lands and tenaments[?] [illegible]
that the said [illegible] Powell personally be and appear before the [illegible] court to be held within and for the county
of St Louis on the first monday in February next then and there to [illegible] then
to [illegible] what may [illegible] there be [illegible] against him
[illegible] a certain assault & battery by him commited against an Indian[?] and further [illegible] to, [illegible] by and [illegible] the judgment of the court in the [illegible] and not depart the said court without the [illegible] thereof [illegible]
obligation to be void else to be and [illegible] in full force and virtue
