District of Saint Louis
Ss The United States of America to the Sheriff of the district of Saint
Louis , Greeting:
We command you as you have heretofore been commanded to take Pierre Croussatte If
[illegible] be found in your District and [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] y
have him before the Judges of our Court of Common pleas at our Court
next to be holder at the Town of Saint Louis in and for the District
aforesaid, on the third Tuesday in March [illegible] Instant then there to answer
with Gregorie[?] Sarpy in a plea of Trespass on the case to the
Damage of the said Gregorie[?] the sum of three hundred dollars
as it is said, and have you then there this writ-
*Witness Charles Gratiot[?] Esq. first Judge of our said
[illegible] at the [illegible] of Saint Louis aforesaid the 6th day
of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
humdred and seven and of the Independence of the United
States of America the thirty first [illegible] [illegible] [illegible]*
