District of Saint Louis The united States of america to the sheriff of the District of Saint
Louis greeting
We command you to take Pierre Croussatte
if he may be found in your District and him safely keep so that you
may have him before the judges of our Court of common pleas at
our Court next to be held on at the Town of Saint Louis in and for
the said district on the third tuesday of December next
these there an our said court to answer unto Gregoerie[?] Sarpy
of a plea of trepass[?] in the case to this damage of
the said Gregoerie[?] Sarpy the [illegible] this three hundred Dollars and have you then there
this writ.
*Witness charles Gratiot[?] esquire first
Justice of our said court at the town of
Saint Louis aforesaid this 14th day of
October in the year of our Lord one thous
and eight hundred and six and of our
Independence the Thirty first And Steele prothy[?]*
